"The Body" of Christ is a symbol of the "Church," the assembly of the Righteous, united in the true knowledge, understanding, fulfillment, and evangelization of the Will of God, the Doctrine of Jesus Christ.   
"The Body" of Christ is a symbol of the Righteous, united, gathered from all nations and ages, who are the guardians and evangelizers of His Will and Christ's Doctrine among the sin-dwelling nations.
 "The Body of Christ" is an image of the relationship between the followers of the Teachings of Jesus Christ, who, like members of one body, coherently interact in their spiritual unity of growing to know, exercise and proclaim the Will of God, perfectly fulfilled by Jesus Christ and expressed in His Teachings.   
The "body" of man is a symbol of his carnal, physical life.
