"Physician" - is a symbol of God, of His Commandments, of His Will, which spiritually "heals" the person doing it, from the infirmities of false belief, from wickedness, from the "diseases" of unrighteousness, iniquity, from the commission of sin and its consequences.

"Physician" - is also a symbol of Jesus Christ, who by His holy life and teaching gives "healing"-opens to man the "Way of Cure"-recovery from sin.

"Physician" - is also the symbol of a righteous man who, by the proclamation of the Word of God, is able to "heal" the spirit and soul of man, to give advice for spiritual healing, the correction of the outlook and way of life of man who suffers from the consequences of his sins and the sins of his parents.  

The negative meaning of

"Physician" - is the image of religious, political and other leaders of the sinful world, who offer their false teachings, beliefs, ideas, various "recipes" for fixing various problems of sinful man.
