Burnt offering

The "burnt offering" is a symbol of the total sacrifice of life on the altar of service to God's Will, His Commandments, established by the Creator of man for his joyful, happy life in righteousness.

The "burnt offering" is also a symbol of the complete "burning," the eradication, the removal of any sin of man by his repentance and conversion to the fulfillment of the Commandments of God.

The word "burnt-offering," according to J. Strong's lexicon, means "rising, ascending," and symbolizes the spiritual "rising" of man out of the ashes of purely carnal materialistic demands, and also as "rising," that is, the dawn of his true worldview and righteous life.
