Oath

"Oath" is from the word "wedge," to wedge one thing to another, to firmly, firmly join, fasten, unite.

"Oaths" of God are God's established decrees, covenants, promises, revelations, laws and commandments, according to which all things ordained by Him are carried out - blessing those who fulfill them and punishing those who break them.

"Man's Oath" to God is man's promise to God to serve Him with all his faculties and abilities.

"Man's Oath" to God is the spiritual strengthening of man's life by the fulfillment of God's Word - His Commandments.

"Oath" is a firm decision, a promise to perform some action in the future, expressed in a particularly affirmative form to oneself, to God, to another person, a group of people.

Negative meaning:

"An "Oath" false, unpleasing to God is a Pharisaic, pretended, false - "not according to truth or righteousness" service to God that dishonors God's "Name.

"Oath" that is not pleasing to God is also the life of man, his worldview and way of life, which is "fastened", confirmed, justified by a false idea of God, of His Will, of His Commandments.
