"Counselor" is one of the characteristics, manifestations, actions of God, Who, having endowed man with the freedom of choice, having revealed His Will to him, so gives him His Advice, that is, His Commandments to achieve a righteous, blessed life.

"Counselor" is also one of the characteristics of Jesus Christ, who by His teaching about the Will of God advises, instructs, and invites the nations to do it for a life of righteousness that leads to Eternal Life.

 "Counselor" means all the Patriarchs, Prophets, and Apostles who, having acquired the experience of true understanding and fulfillment of the Will of God, teach the nations the true, righteous way of life by the wise counsel they set forth in the Holy Scriptures. 

It is also every person who, on the basis of true knowledge and experience of the fulfillment of God's Commandments, gives wise counsel and offers authentic ways of solving various moral, worldly, spiritual questions.

 "Counselors" who are ungodly are people who reject, violate, distort the Will of God, His Commandments, by their false religious dogmas, political ideologies directing people to false thinking and sinful way of life.
