Abbadon

"Avaddon" is Hebrew for "angel of the abyss," "messenger of the abyss" (Rev. 9:11) and also: 1. Destruction, destruction, perdition. 2. To perish, to disappear, to be lost. 3. Exterminate, destroy, waste. 4. Perishable.

     From the Greek: - Apollyon (Rev.9:11), "destroyer" (Job.15:21), "destruction," "ruin.

      In Job 26:6, as in Proverbs 15:11; the term "Abaddon" is used in the same order as the word "underworld. (In the Synodal translation in Job:28;22 the word "Abaddon" is rendered with the word "death.

    "Avaddon," according to J. Strong's lexicons: "annihilation," "corruption," "dying," "death," "pestilence," "tomb," "grave"; "the realm of all the dead," "the underworld," "hell."

     "Avaddon" is the state in which spiritually dead people reside, i.e., "dead" to life according to God's Covenants.
