Farrah

Farrah, son of Nahor, father of Abraham, Nahor and Aran, moved with his family from Ur of the Chaldees to Haran, where he died at the age of 205 (Gen. 11:24ff.; Josh. 24:2).
Farrah was a man of pagan thought and life who, observing the sinful life of the nations around him, was already capable of doubting its truth and goodness for his future generations.
This is a man who was able to come out of "Ur of the Chaldees," i.e., to renounce many of the pagan, sinful foundations, traditions, and way of life of the people in whose environment he was born.
Farrah is the man who, by the Providence of God, gave birth to and raised the son of Abraham, who, for the first time among all nations, recognized the existence and Will of the One God Jehovah.
