"Elevate" - to lift up, to exalt, to elevate, to a moral, spiritual height. 
Also in the sense of glorifying. 
"Ascension" of God in glory is the exaltation, glorification, revelation, enlightenment by the appearance to the nations of the spiritual "Image" and "Likeness" of God by Jesus Christ, who accomplished this spiritual ascent by embodying all the perfections of the Will of God in His holy way of life.
"Ascension" is man's spiritual and moral growth, his ascent, his ascent to the spiritual "Image" and "Likeness" of God by knowing and following His Commandments. 
"Ascension" is the ascent to the heights of spiritual perfection in the knowledge and embodiment of the Revelations of God's Will by man living in righteousness.
