"Capture", "Captivate" - means to subdue, to convince by the Word of God, by the example of righteous living to change a person's mind, to direct his thinking and way of life to the fulfillment of God's Will, His Commandments.  

Negative Meaning.

"Captivity" is a symbol of unfreedom, constraint, spiritual enslavement by sinful thinking, which restrains the mind, conscience, inner good, spiritual aspirations, opportunities of man.

"Captivity" is one's own vices, one's total dependence on one's base sinful instincts, blind, fanatical belief in false ideas, philosophies, religious false beliefs.

"Captivate" - also to seduce, entice, entice, subject to deception, subdue morally, psychologically, put the mind to sleep, suppress the conscience.
