"Flesh" of Jesus Christ is a symbol of the sacrificial life of Jesus Christ and His teaching about the Will of God, which gives man true spiritual "Food" to sustain his righteous life.

       "Flesh," the "Body" of Christ, is also a figurative "Church," the Assembly of the Righteous, the spiritual unity of all His followers.

Negative Meaning.

   "Flesh" of man is a symbol of man's material, sensual world, his carnal, bodily self, his "Ego."

      It is the fleshly, bodily, physiological nature of man, his "animal" nature, manifested in his thinking and way of life, the sinful, essence of man who is not guided by the spiritual and moral Laws of the Will of God.

      "The flesh" of man is a symbol of everything but the soul, which opposes the spiritual and moral element in man.
