Evil, (wicked) is from "crooked," "inclined," not level.

"Evil" is a symbol of moral, spiritual wickedness manifested by man, lawlessness performed, opposition to God's Will, denial, opposition to His Commandments, manifestation of one's own will contrary to the Will of the Creator.

"Evil," as the opposite of Good, is an obstacle to the spiritual perfection of man, an obstacle to the realization of the Will of God in man and in nations, to the attainment of the true meaning of life.

"Evil" is distinguished between intentional, deliberate, conscious (causing its consequences) and unintentional, unconscious evil, done out of ignorance, inexperience - not imputed by God to man.

"Wickedness" is a human act, the opposite of beneficence and virtue, which is a crime against the requirements of morality, violating the principle of humanity and divine justice expressed in the teachings of the Prophets, Christ, and the Apostles.
