"Drought" is a symbol of the state of absence of spiritual guidelines in human life, satiating his spirit and soul, i.e. absence of knowledge of the "Water" of the Word of God's Will, His Commandments.

"Drought" is also a symbol of a state of soullessness, the spiritual desolation of the life of sinfully living peoples as a result of their committing prolonged sin.

"Drought" is a consequence of rejection, violation of the Laws and Commandments established by God, the feeling and awareness of man's inner psychological emptiness, dissatisfaction with his sinful life.
