"Mentor" is God, Who endows man with conscience, reason, revealing through the Patriarchs, Prophets, Jesus Christ, His Apostles, all the Righteous His Will, His Commandments, so instructs, establishes in their knowledge, spiritually educates, smartens man to live according to the physical and spiritual Laws established by Him, to acquire righteousness, and so become a spiritual "Son" of God and enter the Eternal Life.  

"Mentor" is Jesus Christ, Who, having fully revealed to the nations the Will of God, His Commandments, by His Teaching about them and by the example of His righteous, holy life, so instructs, admonishes, teaches the nations to live in righteousness.

"Mentor" is a righteous person who follows God's Commandments, who is wise in the knowledge of the Holy Scriptures, who by his pious way of life "instructs", who shows others an example of true knowledge and fulfillment of God's Commandments, of proclamation of His Will, of faithful service to Him, and by their preaching is able to instruct others spiritually, morally, and so guide them to the right road of life.

"Mentor" is a person who knows, fulfills the Will of God, His Commandments and is able by their proclamation to "instruct" - to give advice, to correct the thinking of another person, helping to get rid of committing iniquities, who cares about the spiritual and moral health and further well-being of people who need his spiritual support.

To admonish means - to teach the right way of thinking, acting, to point out the right way to achieve a goal, to get out of a deadlock.

Negative Meaning.

"Mentor" is an image of a person who denies and transgresses the Will of God himself, and teaches this to others; reassures himself and others with a false knowledge of the scriptures, and displays religious self-confidence in the truth of all his instructions of beliefs.
