The biblical "Name" is an expression of the main distinctive essence of a person, object, phenomenon, event.

The "Name" referred to in the Bible encapsulates the destiny, the life of its bearer, speaks of his main destination, the main properties of his soul, his spiritual achievements, his thinking and way of life, represents everything that can be truthfully said about a person: his origin, character, position, interests, desires, works, the totality and versatility of his psychological and spiritual manifestations.

"The Name" of God is the expression to mankind by the Self-Existent, One God Jehovah of the Revelation of His unchangeable Holy Will, Covenants, Commandments, Laws, which are absolute, true, eternal and are the spiritual, unchangeable basis for human life in righteousness.     

"The Name" of Jesus Christ is the essence of the Teachings of Jesus Christ and the example of His holy life.

 "Name, "Names" of Jesus Christ is the characteristic of the spiritually born from perfect knowledge and fulfillment of the Will of God, the holy way of life of Jesus, the true Man, the spiritual "Son" of God, who by His Teaching on God's Will has accomplished the great, spiritual-educational mission of saving peoples from their spiritual ignorance, from destructive false teachings, from fatal errors, from committing iniquities and from testing their consequences, from perverting the Commandments, the Precepts of God.

Change of Name: When a person, under the influence of the Truth of God's Word, changes his worldview and way of life, then that is how he acquires a "New Name", i.e. a new spiritual quality, purpose and meaning of his life. This is how the former "names", worldview and way of life of Abram and Sarah were "changed" to Abraham and Sarah, Saul to Paul.

Negative Meaning.

 "Name" "Babylon" ("mingling") is the main distinctive essence of the sinful system of the world, in which a mixture of all false doctrines, religious dogmas, political ideologies, and false philosophical theories arose.

"The name of the wicked" is the totality of everything contrary to the Will of God, which is the essence of the wicked life, the main distinguishing features of "wickedness," sin, lawlessness before God.
