"Fornication" is man's spiritual, moral wickedness, that is, his false worldview, which leads him to distort his understanding of God's Will, to pervert His Truth, to various delusions which distort the sound understanding of Holy Scripture and corrupt good morals.

         It is also spiritual unfaithfulness, betrayal of man's Will by his following false doctrines, dogmas, his sinful appeals to belief in other "gods", to the worship of various political, religious and other idols.

         These are violations of the moral standards established by God in His Commandments.

        "Fornication" is literally the promiscuous, immoral life of a corrupted person, society.      

       "To fornicate" means to crooked, to stray, to stray from the true path of life, to deceive others and go astray by ways that do not lead to knowledge and performance of the Will of God, to Eternal Life, but lead in the darkness of sin and lawlessness.

         Also to wander in the darkness of immoral, dissolute life, not having the right direction in life, to wander blindly, changing all religious, political and other preferences, choosing the worship of different idols, idols, and so mistakenly or consciously, to fall into some "fornication".
