Babylon

"Babylon" - "Baveel," "Babilani" in translation means - "gate of the gods.

For the Babylonians, who lived in a mixture of various pagan beliefs and mystical superstitions, the name of their city meant "gate of the gods," indicating a special pride in the material achievements of their pagan civilization.

The word "Babylon" also comes from the verb "balal", "balalal", which means "to mix" (the process of mixing), "to bring tongues into confusion".

The word "Babylon" is a symbol of the pride of the nations in their sinful civilization, the mixing of their various religious delusions, perversions and violations of the Eternal Divine Covenants of true Life with the lawless actions of the ruling political systems of the world.

"Babylon" is also a symbol of the whole sinful system of the world, based on polytheism, godlessness, on religious false teachings, on the soullessness of education, science, culture, in which, throughout history, all nations have committed crimes against the Divine Laws of Life.

The city of Babylon was the capital of Chaldea, in which pagan religion and politics in their interpenetration reached their highest sinful development and proud self-righteousness.

The city of Babylon, in the Biblical account of the construction of the Tower of Babel, becomes a personification of power, a force opposed to God.
