"The harvest" is a symbol of the obvious fruit in the knowledge and fulfillment of God's Commandments, the good consequences of good deeds performed, the blessings of God to the righteous living person. 
"The Harvest" is also a symbol of a man's godly life, which he has devoted to the service of God's Will, to the fulfillment of His Commandments.  
The word "Harvest" in its negative meaning is a man's acquired experience of his sinful life, his assimilation of various false views, ideologies, dogmas, his own worldview accumulated during all the years of his life.  
It is also a symbol of man's acquired certain material prosperity, wealth, erroneous sense of confidence in his future, based not on the knowledge of God's Commandments, but on following different beliefs, false doctrines.
