"The laver" is a symbol of the system of spiritual cleansing-the enlightenment of the people of Israel with the knowledge of God's Commandments-that Moses created, following the revelation of God's Will.

 The "laver" is a symbol of all the exhortations, warnings, admonitions, i.e., all the various means by which the people of Israel were "washed" and spiritually cleansed from their unrighteousness and sinful deeds as they came into the spiritually shaped "Temple" of the knowledge of the Will of God
