Samaria

"Samaria" around 880 B.C. existed as the capital of the Israelite Northern Kingdom.

"Samaria", "Samaritans" (before the birth of Jesus Christ) is a symbol of the people who arose from the ethnic mixing of the Hebrews who inhabited the Israelite, Northern Kingdom, with immigrants from the Assyrian Empire who settled the cities of Samaria and followed the pagan customs of their country.

"Samaritans" "rebelled" against the Will of God, and by their wickedness resisted God's Commandments - rejected, perverted, violated them.

"Samaria," the "Samaritans" (during the life of Jesus Christ) awaited the coming of the Messiah.  Many of them followed Christ, accepted the Word of God as expressed in His teaching of God's Will.
