 It is a symbol of Truth, the Light of Divine Wisdom of creating spiritual Laws of true Life, which enlightens the conscience, the mind of man, shows him the Path to righteousness and Eternal Life. 
Negative Meaning. 
"Sun" is an image of ideological "light" of various false beliefs, ideologies, dogmas and their exponents, with which humanity "illuminates" its sinful way of life, is guided in choosing its goals and priorities.
