"Kin" is a generation of people living in a certain historical time, who are successors, genetic and spiritual heirs of physiological, genetic and spiritual qualities, a certain outlook and way of life of previous generations of peoples.    

"Rod" of David is the piously living generations of righteous people, followers of the true Faith, righteous way of life and proclamation of the Truth of God's Will, His Commandments, from whose midst Jesus Christ was genetically and spiritually born.

Negative Meaning.

"Kin" evil, wicked, unrighteous are people who inherited, inherited from sinful forebears unrighteous, vicious way of life, godless, rejecting, distorting, violating God's Commandments, morally and spiritually deceitful, evil.
