"Joy" in the Holy Spirit of Truth is the realized in man, by his fulfillment of God's Commandments, the gracious, spiritually elevated state of Righteousness, the reign, the reign of the Spirit of Truth of the Will of God in him. 

 "Joy" is the benefit of knowing the Teachings of Jesus Christ concerning the Will of God given to man by Jehovah God and Jesus Christ, experiencing the blessings of its fulfillment, a state of rest, peace, spiritual well-being.

"Joy" is also the Eternal Messianic Spirit of God's Truth as expressed by Jesus Christ in the Gospel Doctrine, which has become the dominant, inward, right, guiding, governing, determining spiritual factor for the godly life of the nations.     

 "Joy" of a righteously living person is a spiritually elevated emotional state of a person who feels the Good of his righteous life, who by the fulfillment of God's Will, His Covenants, Commandments, receives His various blessings, protection by God's Laws joy, enjoyment of life in its true sense.

"Joy" of a person who turns to the fulfillment of God's Commandments is the overcoming of sinful temptations, liberation from the captivity of sin, the realization of his victory over the sinful inclinations of the flesh, the state of gratitude to God for the triumph of His Will in the life of man.
