"Excommunication" from the community of like-minded people is a symbol of the state of a person who experiences the punishment of isolation, separation from the "Assembly" of godly people due to man's deviation from the fulfillment of God's Will, His Covenants, and therefore deprived of God's spiritual support, guidance by the Wisdom of His Commandments.
"Excommunication" is an educational measure of punishment for a person who, being in the community of Christians, commits lawlessness, impiety, discredits, defames, glorifies the high title of "Christian" by his immoral deeds, opposition to God's Commandments, the Teachings of Christ and the Apostles, and therefore is deprived of friendly relations with people who were close to him in spirit and way of righteous life.
"Excommunication" from the "synagogue" is a measure (which is aimed at suppressing religious dissent) of expulsion from the circle of religious fellowship of a person who openly expresses his disagreement with certain dogmas and beliefs, denounces his religious leaders in their violation of God's Commandments and the Teachings of Jesus Christ
