"Beggar" is a symbol of a person who experiences and realizes his spiritual "Poverty" before God, i.e., his ignorance of the Truth of God's Will, his spiritual imperfection before God, his inability to achieve true happiness, meaning and purpose of life without God's guidance by His Commandments. 

Negative Meaning.

"Beggar" is an image, a characteristic of a person who does not have the spiritual wealth of knowledge of God's Commandments, the Teachings of Jesus Christ, who does not experience the benefits of life according to God's Commandments, who does not realize and does not recognize his spiritually devastated state before the Will of God, who does not want to realize the true meaning of his life, who deprived himself of the possibility of achieving Eternal Life.
