The "dead" of the Lord God are godly people, who by fulfilling the Will of God, following His Commandments became spiritually "dead" to the perception of false teachings, sinful temptations and therefore are not understood, spiritually rejected, forgotten by the sinfully living nations.  

"Dead", "dead" in "Lord", in "Jesus", in "Christ" are people who by the fulfillment of the Teachings of Jesus Christ have so become "dead" for committing conscious sin, "lifeless" for violating the Will of God, His Commandments.

Negative Meaning.

"Dead" Christ is the Great Man, the Righteous One - Jesus Christ, Whose Teachings have been spiritually crucified, perverted, put to death by various leaders of the pseudo-Christian world, traitors to His Teachings and their followers.

"Dead" Christ is also an image of the "crucified", i.e. divided, perverted, and therefore spiritually dead Teachings of Jesus Christ.

"The dead of Israel", "the dead of Israel" are people who know God's Commandments, but who have rejected, violated, perverted them, and so have sinned before God, and so have lost the ability for true spiritual life.

 "Dead" is a person morally, spiritually devastated by systematic, long-term violations of the Will of God, who has lost the ability to further righteous life worthy of Man, created in the spiritual "Image" and "Likeness" of God, inactive to the search for spiritual "awakening", inanimate to righteous life, who has lost the ability to acquire Eternal Life.

"Dead" is Man passive, in a state of spiritual "hibernation", spiritual, moral stagnation. ("neither lukewarm nor hot".read.Rev.3:16.).

"Dead" is the state of a person with a muffled, put to sleep conscience, being in a state of willlessness, inaction to change his position, condition. This is a person who is primarily concerned only with his carnal needs, cares, and has no spiritual priorities in his life. 

"Deadness" is an acquired or inherited state of man's soul and spirit, conscience and mind due to moral fall, rejection, distortion, offense of God's Will, His Commandments.  It is a spiritually dead state of man in relation to his life according to the Will of God.
