"Levites" are a race of righteous men, spiritually born of righteous living Levi, keeping and observing the Words of God's Covenants, teaching God's Commandments to the nations.

"Levite" is a symbol of a godly man performing a certain service in the "Temple of God," i.e., among the people, fulfilling God's Commandments.

Negative Meaning

"Levites" are religious figures, leaders, ministers, both past and present, who have become morally and spiritually wicked, because they have withdrawn, departed from the true knowledge and fulfillment of God's Will, and have created for themselves "Idols", i.e. various cults, dogmas, which they worship and serve.
