"Confession" is a person's opening of his mind, conscience, his inner world to God with a request for help in gaining the ability to understand and realize His Will.

"Confession" is also a confession before one's neighbors of one's sinful thoughts, intentions and deeds, a request for forgiveness for offenses, physical and moral suffering.
