"Daughter" is a symbol of the community of people spiritually born of true Faith to God, the Gathering of the Righteous, true doers of the Will of God, united on the basis of the same thinking and way of life.  

"Daughter of Zion" is a figurative Gathering of the Righteous, spiritually born of "Mount Zion," i.e., the height of knowledge and fulfillment of the Truth of God's Will, His Commandments.

Negative Meaning.

"Daughter" is the various false beliefs, religions of the nation of Israel, their founders and followers, generated by a distorted understanding of the Word of God's Covenants and a sinful lifestyle.

It is also a symbol of an organization of false religious, violent political, etc. like-minded people "born of", created by some sinful ideology, doctrine, worldview system.
