"Rain" is the abundantly flowing "Water" of God's Commandments revealed to man, the Truth, the Truth of His Will, which animates man to a righteous life, making him spiritually "alive", and which pours from "Heaven" - from the Heights of the Revelations of God's Will, evangelized by the Righteous and manifold revealed by them in the Holy Scriptures.

"Rain" is also a symbol of God's various spiritual "Gifts" - blessings given to the righteous as well as to sinners.
