Goodness of God

The "goodness" of God - "Goodness" is God's giving, His manifestation of love for His perfect Creation, Man, expressed in the revelation to man of His gracious, unchanging Holy Will, which is the only, most important criterion of the highest Goodness of God.

The goodness of God also manifests itself in the fact that He, by His Will expressed in His Commandments, preserves the nations from committing sin; gives them salvation - regenerates them to a life of righteousness by the knowledge of the spirit and meaning of the Truth of the Wisdom of His Word; and that He necessarily fulfills His promises made to the nations in His Covenants.

The goodness of man, "as a servant of God," is manifested "...in all things...in prudence, in generosity, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in unfeigned love," ( 2 Corinthians 6:4,6)

("4 But in all things let us show ourselves as servants of God,....6 in purity, in prudence, in generosity, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in unfeigned love," 2 Corinthians 6:4,6)

The Christian expresses goodness: by forgiving (Gen. 50:21), by sparing someone's life: (Hab. 2:12,13), by healing (Acts 4:9), by helping those in need (2 Samuel 9:1-7; Proverbs 14:21,31; Proverbs 19:17), by helping victims of injustice (Gen. 40:14) - by helping strangers.
