A "godless man" is an "atheist" who rejects the existence of God as the One Creator of all visible and invisible Being.  It is a nihilist man.

"Godless" is also a characteristic of a person who lives "without God" - contrary to His commandments, violating, distorting them, being in a state of sinful thinking and way of life.
